With the DT Swiss ARC 1100 DICUT 28" wheelset with an 80 mm front wheel and a disc wheel as rear wheel, you optimise your time trial machine in terms of aerodynamics.
The disc wheel is designed for 28 mm wide tyres and weighs only 1100 g. You also benefit from a clear sailing effect. On the drive side, the wheel is flat, leaving enough space for your rear derailleur. The brake side has a slightly convex shape, which optimally distributes the occurring braking and driving forces. The streamlined 180 hub for center lock brake rotors with Ratchet EXP toothed disc freehub also ensures maximum propulsion. To enable ideal leg power development, the freehub has 36 teeth that ensure direct power transmission, keeping unwanted idling to a minimum. Hidden behind a carbon cap is a valve hole. You can open it easily without tools with a 90-degree turn. To ensure aerodynamics, the valve hole cover closes seamlessly with the windscreen wall.
The design of the 80 mm high DICUT carbon front wheel has been optimised so that the jaw width is 20 mm. This means that wider and more comfortable 25 to 28 mm tyres can be used on time trial bikes without sacrificing rolling resistance. Despite a full 80 mm rim depth, the steering behaviour remains well under control. In addition, you benefit from a noticeable sailing effect during crosswinds.
The aerodynamics of the wheelset are underlined by the streamlined 180 hub for center lock brake rotors and the Aerolite II straight pull spokes. To ensure that your leg power can develop ideally, the rear wheel has the modern Ratchet EXP freehub. This has 36 teeth that ensure direct power transmission, keeping unwanted idling to a minimum.

SINC
Robust steel bearing rings are combined with ceramic balls. This means that the rolling resistance is low. The rolling resistance is further reduced by the seal on the outside and a protective ring on the inside. Furthermore, the combination of materials prevents corrosion between the ring and balls. This increases the durability of the ball bearings.
Ratchet EXP
A ratchet and a threaded ring are integrated into the hub. This reduces the number of components required, resulting in less wear and tear and a lower weight. In addition, the heavy-duty and reliable ratchet system can be easily and quickly maintained. The no-tool concept plays a decisive role, as it allows the freehub to be replaced without any tools. The freehub has two discs which engage simultaneously. This means that the contact surface is large and the point load is kept small, which exonerates the material and allows the freehub to work particularly reliably and precisely.
Pro Lock
The nipple thread is coated with two-component adhesive to increase the durability of the wheels. It can still be re-centred several times without any problems, this adhesive strength will only slightly decrease. The connection between spoke and nipple cannot loosen by itself.
